Looking for music lessons that truly make you happy?

Our lessons will challenge your child’s mind, make them feel safe to explore their own creativity, and encourage them to have FUN as a part of our growing music family.

Why do we come to your home for lessons?

Lessons in your own home are less stressful and more convenient for the student and his/her whole family. The students are more relaxed, and for many students this aids in their progression as a new musician. It can also be a lot easier to focus on the lessons as a fun activity, rather than simply one more after-school activity.  We offer both in-person and virtual lesson opportunities, for your convenience.

Depending on the student, we use multiple teaching methods, including technology, games, traditional note reading, composing, improvisation and movement. Through our varied lessons, your student will get to:

  • Play fun songs in multiple genres

  • Learn how to read music notation

  • Gain useful, fun rhythm skills

  • Compose their own music

  • Learn to play their instrument with others

  • Be challenged mentally to do their very best

  • Be supported by our music family if they fail

  • Gain self-confidence performing in front of an audience

  • Have fun :)

First year composing.

One activity we love doing at Explore Music Jax is composing. Students begin their composing journey right from their first month or two of lessons. It’s a fun way to solidify the music theory concepts, and it allows the student’s confidence to soar.

“Your High-Wire Tune” composed by L.B.

This was his very first composition, done within his first month as a student of Explore Music Jax. “Your High-Wire Tune” composing idea page is from Faber’s Piano Adventures Primer level, but the song is all his!

“Thanks” composed by A.P.

This was his Thanksgiving composition about six months after he started lessons.

We’d love to have you join our FUN music family!
